The Lepage Center is founded on the belief that historical scholarship and historical perspective are indispensable tools for analyzing and understanding our contemporary world.

The Lepage Center creates space for historically informed conversations about how the past shapes the present. We work in partnership with public institutions, journalists, universities, and scholars worldwide to offer public-facing events, professional and training opportunities for students and teachers, and grants for individuals and institutions to study and promote history in the public interest.

THE CENTER'S IMPACT

The Lepage Center will spend the 2023 - 2024 academic year exploring Cities in Historical Perspective. This will include both in-person and virtual events engaging with a wide breadth of historical settings and subjects. Learn more about the Cities in Historical Perspective series.

We offer academic year fellowships and summer internships for undergraduate and graduate students. Learn more about opportunities for current students.

The "Doing History" series brings industry professionals to campus to teach Villanova students, staff and faculty the fundamental skills required to present historical knowledge to public audiences. Learn more about the workshops.
